Troubleshooting

Trident is not responding.

If when you use a Trident feature and it says "the application did not respond", try the following and see what happens.

  1. The most common fix to this, is to just retry running the command. It may take a few times for the application to respond.

  2. If this does not work, make sure that Trident has permissions to send messages within the channel that you are trying to use the command in.

  3. Trident could be having problems on our end too, you can check this in our support server or the status page.

  4. If none of the above work, contact our support team in our support server.

I cannot see my role/channel.

When configuring Trident, you may not be able to see some roles or channels. Try the below to fix this.

  1. Try using the search bar which comes with the select menu to find your role - Discord limits select menus to 25 items, so not every channel/role will be displayed at first.

  1. (Channels Only) Make sure that Trident has permission to see the channel you are targeting.

  2. If none of the above work, contact our support team in our support server.

Trident isn't giving roles to my staff members.

This is a very common issue which people ask us about. Trident most likely just doesn't have permissions to add the roles. Here are some things that you can check:

  1. Trident has a role above the role you are trying to assign.

  1. Trident has Manage Roles permissions.

  2. You have configured the role correctly. Follow our Configuration guide.

  3. If none of the above work, contact our support team in our support server.

I can't see Trident's slash commands.

This could be caused by 2 things:

  1. You have legacy chat enabled in User Settings > Accessibility > Use the Legacy Chat Input. Make sure this is disabled to use slash commands.

  2. Your server permissions are configured incorrectly, make sure that you have permissions to use slash commands in that channel.

Do not contact our support team about this issue, we do not work for Discord.

Why are the emojis not working?

This is most likely caused because Trident does not have permissions to use External Emojis. This is usually fixed by giving the @Trident role Use External Emojis or Administrator permissions.
